Terms of Service

These terms govern purchases from Algorista at blossommerz.com. Algorista is operated by Wildland Press (sole proprietorship), based in Madrid, New Mexico. By placing an order, the buyer agrees to the terms below.

Products

Algorista sells aluminum and brass jewelry — pendants, earrings, and related pieces — drawn from repeating geometric patterns. Each piece is cut and finished in the studio in Madrid, New Mexico. Small variation between pieces of the same design is expected and part of the work.

Pricing and currency

All prices are listed in US dollars and are subject to change. The price at the moment of checkout is the price that applies to the order.

Sales tax

New Mexico gross receipts tax (the state's sales-tax equivalent) is collected on orders shipped within New Mexico. Out-of-state orders are taxed where applicable to that destination, calculated by Square at checkout.

Payment

Payment is processed by Square. Square accepts major credit and debit cards. An order is confirmed when Square confirms the payment.

Inventory and availability

Algorista holds limited stock of each piece, and the catalog updates as pieces sell. A listed item is in stock at the moment of listing, but if an order arrives for a piece that has just sold out, the studio will refund the order in full and reach out about a similar piece or a future restock.

Designs and intellectual property

Every pattern in the Algorista catalog is the original work of Blossom Merz, drawn from cultural pattern traditions but executed as the studio's own designs. The patterns themselves, the photography on the site, and all written content remain the property of Wildland Press. Reposting an image with credit is welcome; reproducing the designs for commercial sale is not.

Accuracy and honest description

The studio puts real effort into describing each piece truthfully — material, dimensions, color, finish. If a piece arrives and the listing was meaningfully wrong, email algoristanm@gmail.com — that's a "wrong item" case under the return policy, and the studio covers return shipping.

Limitation of liability

Algorista's liability on any order is limited to the amount paid for that order. The studio is not liable for delays in shipping caused by the carrier, for indirect or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from the use or wear of a piece. Jewelry made of metal behaves like jewelry made of metal — wear it carefully near doors, machinery, and other places where catching is a risk.

Care of the work

Aluminum pendants and brass pendants both benefit from being kept dry between wears and from a soft cloth wipe-down. Direct contact with chlorine, harsh cleaners, or salt water can dull the finish faster than ordinary wear.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico. Any disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Mexico.

Changes to these terms

When the terms change, the Last updated date at the top of this page changes with it. Continuing to place orders after a change means continued agreement with the updated terms.
